All orders placed by you and purchases of goods from us via our website or by such other means as we may permit, are on the basis of these Terms and Conditions. By despatch of the goods to you at which point a legally binding contract is constituted between you and us.
The processing of your payment and acknowledgment of your order (including sending you an email confirming your order) does not constitute legal acceptance of your order.
All orders placed by you for purchases of goods and products from us, are subject to acceptance by us.
Our acceptance of your offer to purchase products from us, will take place only when we have despatched the product(s).
While we endeavour to hold sufficient stock to meet all orders and purchases, all goods are subject to availability.
Products will fall into one of these bellow categories, please make sure you are aware of these terms before ording.
In Stock
Orders placed will usually be despatched within three working days after your payment has cleared, with exception to orders that include either "Made Per Order" or "Customised Item" products; as these products are not held as standard stock items.
Made Per Order
Products are hand made on an order by order basis when your payment has cleared. Please see the product specifics for the manufacture lead time.
Manufacture lead time is provided as an estimate, bearing in mind contributing factors such as busy periods, material drying times etc. These type products can take longer than two weeks to manufacture.
The complete order will be despatched once products have been tested and passed quality control.
Customised Item
These products are tailored to your requirements with significant bespoke work applied and cannot be cancelled once orded. "Made Per Order" terms and conditions also apply.
Out Of Stock
When placing an order if for any reason a product becomes out of stock or or there is insufficient stock to fulfill your order, this is usally indicated at various shopping cart and checkout stages. However on occasion an error can happen and a product may have become out of stock whilst you complete your payment. In the event of this we will try and make contact with you, to ask you how you wish to proceed.
If your order consists of "Made Per Order" or "Customised Item" (s); then we will not continue to process your order until we recieve your confirmation on how you wish us to proceed.
Usual options are:
Generally to place an order on this site you confirm that you are or over the age of sixteen years old.
However certain products for example axes, knives and knife blades, that you confirm that you are over the age of 18. We reserve the right to cancel your order or purchase if we reasonably believe you do not meet the age restrictions for certain products.
Product images are for illustrational purposes only, and all product colours, measurements, sizes and weights are approximates only.
Products stock quantities cannot be guaranteed whilst using this website.
We will not be obliged to supply any goods that are incorrectly priced or with incorrect description, as Occasionally an error may occur and goods may be either incorrectly priced or described. At our discretion we will either use reasonable endeavours to contact you and ask you whether you wish to continue with the order at the correct price or correct description or cancel your order and refund the price you have paid. We reserve the right to correct any errors without notification.
Certain Products we supply are hand made or combined (with hand made components or assembled) by ourselves. Such products are fully tested before despatch. Some products are made to be used in conditions such as fast flowing cold streams, and hense will get bashed and bumped about. such products are not made to look pretty, and may come with blemishishes such as scratches etc.
By completing the checkout process, you confirm that the credit or debit card being used is yours. Your payment will be processed by PayPal, and will be subject to authorisation.
At the time of checkout, a delivery charge will be applied to your order. After receiving your payment, if the delivery charge applied is not correct, then we will contact you to make any required adjustment. We reserve the right to cancel your order if an additional delivery charge adjustment cannot be met. As such a full refund will be given.
Delivery charge includes postage / courier fee, packaging and any associated drop off cost.
Please be aware that if you are using Paypal as your payment method we reserve the right to not ship to unconfirmed addresses.
All prices on this web site will be in British Pound Sterling Currency and any exchange cost(s) should be paid by the buyer (purchaser).
The postal or courier delivery service requires a signature upon delivery. Please ensure your supplied delivery address, or if you have provided delivery instructions are correct; and that you are available to take delivery.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, delivery's may be left at your door with a photo being taken as confirmation of delivery.
Therefore if you can not be sure your availability to take delivery, please contact us as soon as posible and prior to despatch, so that we can discuss alternate delivery arrangments; otherwise you are happy to accept responsibility for costs including products damaged, loss of, or are unrecoverable.
When a product is delivered the risk of damage to or loss of the product passes to you.
You are responsible for loss of costs and delivery charges to us for goods and products which have been delivered to your supplied delivery address (or as instructed by your Delivery Instructions); where either the address details (or your Delivery Instructions) is incorrect for you to take ownership or products delivered are unrecoverable.
We reserve the right to charge you for any damage to products that have not been paid for, or for loss of products to which you have arranged for their return.
We shall not be responsible to you for whether health, death, incidental, special, indirect or consequential for, loss or damage, any loss of profit, loss of sales, loss of goodwill or reputation or damage to, loss of business, any third party claims, pure economic loss (direct, indirect, express or implied) arising from the use of any product purchased. You agree to take all necessary precaution and care whilst using any of our products, and accept full responsibility and use at your own risk.
All products ordered will remain the property of GPE until delivered to the address specified by you (or as instructed by your Delivery Instructions).
If your payment has not been recieved in full, and the products have been delivered to the address specified by you, then you must pay for or return those products to us in the same condition that you recieved them at your own expense, ensuring that they are shipped with adaquate insurance for loss or damage. If you do not do this within 7 days from the date on which we cancel your order, we may arrange collection of the products at your expense.
We shall have no liability to you for any failure or delay in supply or delivery or for any damage or defect to goods supplied or delivered hereunder or for any other liability, in each case that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control (including, without limitation, accidents, extreme weather conditions, fire, explosion, flood, storm, earthquake, natural disaster, failure of telecommunications networks, inability to use transport networks, mechanical failures, acts of God, pandemic, endemic, lockdown, terrorist attack, war, civil commotion, riots, strikes, lockouts and other industrial disputes, acts or restraints of Government, and imposition or restrictions of imports or exports).
Your payment is processed directly by PayPal, and all your payment card details are processed via their encrytped service.
We do not have access to your Card payment information.
